Openings: Ben Eine – “Heartfelt” @ Judith Charles Gallery

On Wednesday, renowned graffiti artist Ben Eine unveiled a new series of works at Judith Charles Gallery. Entitled Heartfelt, the street typography wizard conveyed his thoughts & emotion through his bold color compositions. The exhibition showcased both his large format canvases and his print-making techniques. Using subtle changes in color and texture, EINE changes perception with his Jedi mind trick word plays. This great show is up until March 16th, so stop by if you’re in NYC. Discuss Eine here.

Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Air” Print

For those who enjoyed the Seeker Friends prints from Jeff Soto (interviewed), he will be revisiting the series with a new set of Elements. Currently for sale as a timed release from the Riverside-based artist is Air (6″ x 6″), available at Prints on Wood. It will be on sale for $30 + shipping until noon PST today and then no longer available after that, so head over soon if you want to add it to your collection. Discuss Jeff Soto here.

Upcoming: PUSH – “Out Of Line” @ Known Gallery

This Saturday, February 8th, PUSH will be opening a new solo show at the Known Gallery entitled Out Of Line. Returning to the site of his recent special installation last year at the Los Angeles showspace, the graffiti and fine artist will be sure to create imagery featuring his street informed geometric forms and lines. Studio Visits: STASH – “Cap Indicates Color” @ Sports Lab (Atmos)

AM recently had the pleasure of visiting a legend in the New York Graffiti scene – STASH. Long known for his bold outlines and clean shapes, the bomber is in Tokyo for a fresh exhibition. Entitled Cap Indicates Color, the new series of works explores some of the iconic spray cap motif & splatter that he made popular in with his visual language. POW WOW ’14 & 1xRUN Prints & Show

The annual POW! WOW! art retreat in Hawaii starts this weekend and 1xRUN will be on site to work on a special show at Loft in Space / Fresh Cafe set to open on February 14th. They have also partnered with Pangea Seed, a local non profit, to exhibit prints from their archives and their new Sametan figure customized by over 30 artists. In addition, 1xRUN will be releasing a series of prints from participating 2014 POW! Previews: Tristram Lansdowne, Erin Murray, and Greg Eason @ Breeze Block Gallery

Tonight (February 6th), the Breeze Block Gallery in Portland will be presenting new work from Canadian artist Tristram Lansdowne (interviewed), along with Erin Murray in a two-person show. Entitled Order Of Operations, the exhibition will highlight Lansdowne’s architectural forms that appear to be in harmony with the natural landscapes they are found in as well as Murray’s buildings and structures rendered on shaped panels. Openings: D*Face @ Stephen Webster (Beverly Hills)

Tonight, February 5th (5-8pm), Stephen Webster in Beverly Hills will be hosting a new show from  D*Face (interviewed) along with the US release of his new monograph – One Man and His Dog. Last month, AM stopped by ZieherSmith in New York to take in the grotesque yet beautiful work of Allison Schulnik. Entitled Eager, the name of her newest stop-motion claymation film (which premiered on opening night), the exhibition featured paintings and sculptural works related to the film.
