Upcoming: Nate Frizzell – “Spectrum” @ LeBasse Projects (Culver City)

Tomorrow night (January 12th), the LeBasse Projects in Culver City will be presenting all new works from Nate Frizzell (interviewed). Spectrum will be his first solo showing of oil paintings since 2011 (covered) and as the title suggests, each painting will be focusing on a single color from his palette – in turn making up the full color range. Releases: Josh Keyes – “Lifted II” Print

The Portland-based Josh Keyes (interviewed) recently shared a tantalizing new photo of his next print release. You may recognize the painting as Lifted II from his recent showing (covered) at the Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle – a wise choice as that was one of the strongest images from the show and certainly a favorite of many we talked to. Releases: James Jean – “Parallel Lives” Catalog

For those of you who weren’t able to make it to the James Jean’s (interviewed) show opening tonight at the Tilton Gallery in New York, you have another way to get a look at the work. Releases: Mark Ryden – “Wood Lincoln” Serigraph

It seems our friends at Pressure Printing have been working on a special project with Mark Ryden. Entitled Wood Lincoln, this reoccurring character by Mr. Ryden’s work comes to life in a beautiful 14-color serigraph that comes in a hand carved walnut veneered wood frame measuring 33″ x 27.5″. Releases: Phil Frost Originals @ The Pancake Epidemic

It’s not often that you see work from Phil Frost available these days, especially at solo shows – with the last we have seen being in 2010 (covered). But, thanks to The Pancake Epidemic, you can now now add some small originals from the NY legend just in time for Christmas. Videos / Releases: Shepard Fairey x Mike Miller – “Compton’s Most Wanted” Print

With the recent release of the Shepard Fairey print featuring the use of Mike Miller’s photograph of Eazy E (still available here), the duo decided to record a video detailing the entire project. Shot while they were signing the limited edition collaboration, the footage features an interview with the two talented artists while they talk about how the print came about, their opinions on Eazy E & NWA, and much more… Via Hypebeast.
