Openings: Steve More & Remi/Rough – ‘A’ @ Blackall Studios

Remi/Rough and Steve More opened their dual exhibition A last night to a full house at Blackall Studios. AM went along to see the work for ourselves. The two artists have been friends for years since they wrote graffiti together in the 80’s/90’s. They live and work at polar opposite ends of the UK – Rough in South London and More in Edinburgh, and work both individually and also as collaborators within the Agents of Change collective, whose British contingent came from the four corners […]

Continuing on from our look into Steve More’s Edinburgh studio, AM now brings you a peek into the bottom-of-the-garden studio of Remi/Rough. The artistic pairing of Agents of Change collaborators Rough and More are realised in the upcoming exhibition entitled ‘A’, opening on Tuesday 1st February at Blackall Studios in London. Remi works out of a purpose built log cabin style studio located in deepest, darkest East Dulwich. He paints using the natural light of daytime, and the immediate connection you make when visiting the […]

Studio Visit: Steve More

In anticipation of his upcoming two person exhibition with Remi/Rough, AM brings you a view from the studio of Edinburgh based artist Steve More. More’s heritage as a graffiti writer dates back to the mid 80’s when his elaborately styled letter based pieces started to go up under the name of OneMor. He was part of Edinburgh based crew Fallen Angelz and then relocated to London for a number of years ahead of moving to New Zealand in 2003. In 2010, he returned to the […]

Streets: LX One & Remi/Rough in Strasbourg

Two parts of the Agents of Change collective – LX One and Remi/Rough – were recently in Strasbourg to paint a large wall as part of the 10th anniversary party for French-cool store RZO. The combination of Remi’s abstract work alongside LX’s geometric patterns caught our eyes when we saw some photos of the work like the one above. AM asked Remi about the trip and he sent us a mini-travelogue. Check it out along with some more flicks from LX One after the jump.
