AM has been keeping a close eye on AEC and Waone, who together form the Ukranian duo Interesni Kazki (Interesting Fairy Tales). Earlier this year, the two Kiev-based artists had a solo show at Galerie All Over in Lyon, France. Globetrotting Ukranian duo, Interesni Kazki, who just had a solo showing in Los Angeles (covered), have apparently made their way over to India for some fun. Streets: RETNA // The Beauty Project (Mexico City)

Recently in Mexico City, RETNA (featured) was invited in to create public art for The Beauty Project México. Painting his distinct script at the Cuauhtemoc building in the Tlatelolco neighborhood, the Los Angeles-based writer spent a few days working on the 21 story twin structures, his tallest intervention to date. Other artist who will be joining the project in the upcoming weeks include Alexis CILER, Olivia Steele, Saner, AEC (Interesni Kazki), Ericailcane and others. Discuss RETNA here. Basel Week Miami ’16: Juxtapoz Clubhouse

One of the venues jam-packed with goodness during Basel Week Miami was the Juxtapoz Clubhouse, a special project in conjunction between the magazine and Mana Urban Arts Project. The immersive artist retreat and exhibition space in the Wynwood District features collaborations with different artists, galleries and creatives. Releases: AEC – “Falling In Love or Sixth Sense of Pedro” Print

Jonathan LeVine Gallery just released a new print from AEC of Interesni Kazki (interviewed) entitled Falling In Love or Sixth Sense of Pedro. The image is taken from one of the paintings from their show at the gallery earlier this year (covered) and features the surrealistic imagery the duo are known for. Guido van Helten recently visited a restricted area in Ukraine and painted a mural inside disused and unfinished Chernobyl Reactor 5. As a part of the ongoing ArtUnitedUs project, curated by Geo Leros, Iryna Kanishcheva, Waone Interesni Kazki, and Ilya Sagaidak, the work commemorates the 30th anniversary of the world’s biggest nuclear catastrophe that happened on April 26, 1986. Streets / Recap: 352walls (Gainesville)

Back in November of 2015, the city of Gainesville coordinated the beginning of 352walls (The Gainesville Urban Art Initiative project). Curated by Iryna Kanishcheva, the first edition of the event was recently completed while producing 11 murals by internationally recognized artists, plus 10 murals by local artists and a bunch of electrical boxes interventions throughout the Floridian city’s downtown.
