Armory Week ’14: ADAA Art Show

During Armory Week, one can view some of the most prestigious paintings and storied names in art at the ADAA Art Show. ADAA: Fred Tomaselli @ James Cohan Gallery

During this year’s ADAA Art Show one of the booths that caught our eye was James Cohan Gallery. Featuring works by Contemporary mainstay Fred Tomaselli, this booth focused on exhibiting twenty five pieces from his famous New York Times series. Utilizing the New York Times, Tomaselli collages a light and witty viewpoint with his signature vibrant colors and patterns. Check out this engaging show below.

ADAA ’12: Yoshitomo Nara – “Works on Paper” @ Pace Gallery

Several months ago at the ADAA Art Show, we caught some new work from Yoshitomo Nara as he made his solo fair debut with Pace Gallery. The entire booth was filed with a variety of Nara’s signature works on paper. Lined up by time periods, attendees such as Damien Hirst and some of New York’s top collectors visiting the booth got a chance to see some of Nara’s older works and understand the progression to the current blue-chip stage of his career. Armory Week ’12: ADAA Art Show – First Look

The Armory Art Show (here & here) may be the flagship event of Armory Week in New York, but the most prestigious title this year goes to another. The ADAA Art Show held at the Park Avenue Armory (covered) was a smaller, but more selective fair. Like a small jewelery box, this event drew some of the top galleries from around the nation.
