Basel Week Miami ’15 / Showing: SCOPE

One of the first satellite fairs we hit during Basel Week Miami was SCOPE Miami, situated nicely in their pavilion on the beach off Ocean Drive. Celebrating its 15th anniversary edition with 120 international exhibitors from 22 countries and 57 cities, the fair had something for everyone including this Suck Face bronze from D*Face seen above and the Felipe Pantone installation seen directly below. Openings: “20 Years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz” @ LAMAG

Last weekend in Los Angeles, alongside Robert Williams’ amazing new exhibition (covered), a group show celebrating 20 years of Juxtapoz also opened to the public. Curated by Andrew Hosner from Thinkspace and Gary Pressman from Copro Gallery, the showing featured artists, emerging and established, who have graced the pages of the trailblazing magazine. POW! WOW! ’15 / Openings: Thinkspace – “Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” @ Honolulu Museum Of Art School

Last night, POW! WOW! Hawaii kicked things off with a group show curated by Thinkspace at the Honolulu Museum Of Art School (111 Victoria Street). Openings: Adam Caldwell & Jonathan Darby – “Intersection” @ White Walls SF

A couple weeks ago, White Walls in San Francisco hosted a dual show from native son Adam Caldwell and UK artist Jonathan Darby. Entitled Intersection, the premise of the show was a meeting of cultures – American by Caldwell and Brazilian by Darby with his favela installation. Last weekend, the “There It Is” group exhibition opened at the Thinkspace Gallery featuring Seth Armstrong, Brett Amory (interviewed), and Adam Caldwell.
