Viewpoints: Peter Kennard + War Boutique — ‘shooting@earth’ @ Black Rat Projects

Black Rat Projects in London recently hosted shooting@earth, a three-day event running from 5 to 7 May which launched @earth, the new photo-essay by Peter Kennard, assisted by Tarek Salhany. The exhibition also showcased a collection of works that packed a punch by former armour designer, War Boutique. Although AM felt War Boutique’s art was sometimes a little easy or obvious, at other times it was remarkable: You think it has the subtlety of an old Panzer IV, that you can see it coming from […]

Openings: Slinkachu – ‘Concrete Ocean’ @ Andipa Gallery

Last Wednesday 2 March saw the opening of the Slinkachu solo exhibition, Concrete Ocean (initially mentioned by us in January), at London’s Andipa Gallery. There was a refreshingly mixed crowd in attendance, with a number of the regular faces at East End shows having dusted off their passports and made the trek over to Knightsbridge. Openings: Banksy @ Andipa Gallery

Stop and get it fresh – Banksy at Andipa Gallery! This past weekend, Andipa held an exhibition of some elite secondary market canvases by the Bristol Bomber. Preview: Banksy @ Andipa Gallery

Old school London mainstay Andipa Gallery is going to the streets and holding an exhibition of Banksy’s rare works on canvas. Guess it’s time the old money flexed it’s muscles and showcased some choice secondary market pieces from one of United Kingdom’s finest. A veritable gem amongst gems is the ginormous “Are You Using That Chair?” measuring over 7 x 14′. This is by far the largest canvas that we’ve seen from Banksy. This remix of Edward Hopper’s 1942 masterpiece “Nighthawks” is an iconic example […]
