Summer has been heating up and of all the group shows popping up as everyone enters the break before fall – Bill Brady in Kansas City has some of the most hotness with a four person showcase. Openings: Julia Chiang – “That Side, This Side, No Side” @ Bill Brady KC

Hailing from New York, Julia Chiang immerses the Midwest this fall with her work via Kansas City’s Bill Brady Gallery. Upon entry to the showspace, you are welcomed by several large “burst” paintings (seen in our studio visit) drawing you directly into the voided spaces within them. Chiang also shows off some new pieces consisting of large scale “fence” paintings alongside her more familiar glazed ceramic “drops” surrounding the space like altars.
