New Banksy @ NNLS Charity Auction

Banksy is at it again. This time, he’s created a new piece to be auctioned off for another charity event. The NNLS auction is actually an “undies” auction where celebrities literally donate their “bottoms” to raise money for the charity at hand. Benefit: Street Art Awards x SHP Auction

Some interesting charity auctions are ending soon benefiting SHP (Single Homeless Project), a London-based charity working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. If you recall, various street/urban artists donated some originals painted on records during the Street Art Awards last year, including Matt Small (above), Know Hope, SPQR, Grafter, Holly Thoburn, Rene Gagnon, Guy Denning, Case, and Dale Grimshaw.Â More images after the jump.

Benefit: Herakut @ Phillips de Pury

Herakut (interviewed) will be participating in a benefit auction for the charity War Child (viewing March 10-12, auction March 14) with Phillips de Pury. Not only will the canvas “You Sure?” be up for bidding, but there will also be other works on display (in progress) pieces showing the level of completion of a single piece. Baby Tattooville alum Amanda Visell is organizing a bone marrow drive for one of her close friends who has had a relapse with his leukemia. None of his family members are a match and he desperately needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. No matter what your political leanings are, you must still admit these “Sketch for Change” pieces are pretty rad. These auctions are ending one by one as we speak, but don’t worry … they are putting up more for auction everyday. We like the way each artist has incorporated political logos and iconic imagery into each of their pieces.
