Carmichael Gallery recently presented a popup exhibition for Eriberto and Estevan Oriol in the Big Apple. Entitled Like Father, Like Son : NYC, this exhibition is actually the second installment (first one was in LA) of a traveling retrospective from the renowned Chicano father and son photographic duo. The series of photographs on display show off their gritty and raw viewpoint of lifestyles from the streets of Los Angeles. Last weekend at the L.A. Mart Design Center, the Urban Legends auction and exhibition opened their doors to the public. With a series of largescale pieces, murals, photographs, and installations, artists around the world like Chor Boogie, Kofie, Mear One, Shark Toof, Cern, Estria, Martha Cooper, Sand One, Herakut, SANER, Estevan Oriol, Eriberto Oriol, Chaz Bojorquez, RETNA, Andrew Hem, and more were invited to put their work on display.
