Last month in Berlin, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation’s Human Rights Award for 2011 was awarded to Khaled Said of Egypt and Slim Amamou of Tunisia. Said’s sister, Zahraa Kassem received the award on the late activist’s behalf at a ceremony that included the unveiling of a portrait created by Andreas von Chrzanowski (aka Case) on remnants of the Berlin Wall and will be eventually placed in the Freedom Park (covered).
