This past weekend, Chris Johanson opened his massive retrospective at Malmö Konsthall in Sweden. Organized by Galleri Nicolai Wallner, Alright Alright (previewed) presents an extensive collection of large scale paintings, smaller works on paper, and mixed-media sculptures from the Portland-based artist, collectively exploring such existential issues as “self-delusion, alienation, deceit, and monotony”. Portland-based contemporary artist Chris Johnason is set to open a retrospective exhibition with Malmö Konsthall in Sweden.
