The geometrically inclined James “Dalek” Marshall (interviewed) recently travelled from his home in North Carolina to paint Instagram’s first ever sponsored public art at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Working on a double decker container, he covered it in his signature combination of lines, shapes, and colors creating a striking mural that stood out against the New York skyline in the background. Fans of Nick Walker (interviewed) can always count on two things – intricate stencil work and the iconic The Morning After (TMA) series where his signature “Vandal” runs amuck “beautifying” some of the most prominent cities around the globe. AM’s regular Instagrammer SazaJane is taking a break this week from her London street art round-up, so as we were in Sheffield this weekend for Kid Acne’s opening, we bring you a northern version. We checked out some of the classic Acne slogan based murals that make up part of the Sheffield scenery, along with pieces, throwies and tags by Ema, D-Rot, Phlegm, Motfu, Dscreet and Osk amongst others.
