Openings: Jedediah Voltz – “Somewhere Small” @ Virgil Normal

Back in April, Virgil Normal in Los Angeles hosted a brief showing of miniature “tree” houses from Jedediah Voltz. His whimsical structures embedded in the branches of common household plants (such as succulents) featured a high level of detail to include tiny furniture, pots, rugs, and other accessories. As a creative outlet for his commercial prop making experience, the series of tiny domiciles is obviously a labor of love, something his audience appreciated leading to an almost sold out opening night.
