Recap: John Jacobsmeyer – “Great Feats and Defeats” @ Jonathan LeVine Projects

Jonathan LeVine Projects recently closed a showing by John Jacobsmeyer, his debut solo with the Jersey City gallery. Entitled Great Feats and Defeats, the oil paintings from the New York-based artist depict a world of impossible mazes created from plywood, full struggling competitors. The pieces created on aluminum are strangely influenced by both Jacobsmeyer’s fascination with wood since childhood and from his love for gaming cultures. Armory Week ’16 / Previews: Gallery Poulsen @ PULSE

With the official opening of Armory Week in New York tomorrow, March 3rd, it’s time to tell you about one of the booths we are really looking forward to.
