This Saturday, August 5th, the same night Thinkspace will be showing Josh Keyes, their project room will be putting Ken Flewellyn’s new paintings on display. Entitled Stay Gold, the fresh body of work will combine his lifelong love of Hip Hop and Japanese culture. The locally-based artist combines women in traditional fabrics with chains, sneakers, boom boxes, and other accouterments giving viewers a unique view of cultural identity.

Last night, POW! WOW! Hawaii kicked things off with a group show curated by Thinkspace at the Honolulu Museum Of Art School (111 Victoria Street). Entitled Exploring The New Contemporary Movement, the exhibition featured an impressive and diverse roster or artists, each contributing a 12 x 12″ piece.
