AM stopped by last week to check out the Culver City based LeBasse Projects and the art that traveled to New York for their “Pop Up” show. Only in town for less than a week, “Go East” showcased the work of Yoskay Yamamoto (featured and seen above), Tessar Lo, Edwin Ushiro, Joao Ruas, Eric Fortune (interviewed), Mia (interviewed), and Nate Frizzell (featured). Judging from what we saw, we look forward to the next trip east from this group of fresh young artists. More pics after […]

AM had the chance to attend Mia’s “Riddles in the Dark” opening (previewed) at Corey Helford Gallery. Seeing that the show has only just recently been taken down, we thought it would be nice to take a look back. Mia’s latest body of work continued to impress and had noticeably evolved since the last time we saw her work. Check out all the photos of the opening after the jump.
Mia (interviewed) and her “event-full” paintings are back on a new mission. Check out this quick little hit she sent us for her upcoming show “Riddles in the Dark” at Corey Helford Gallery at the end of this month. Discuss Mia here.

Sweet Surrender features: Camilla d’Errico, Krista Huot, Mia, Allison Torneros, and Jennifer Tong. These talented girls put together what looks to be a great show. AM has an advance peep at this wonderful show that opens March 6th. More after the jump.

Our friend, fellow Baby Tattooville attendee, and collector extraordinaire, Gino Joukar, has send us some preview pics for “Movers & Shakers,” a group show that will be his first as a curator. The list of artists participating is impressive, no doubt all who have found themselves part of Gino’s vast personal collection at some point. Artists include Amy Sol (seen above), Ana Bagayan, Anthony Ausgang, Brandi Milne, Brian Despain, Damon Soule, Dave Cooper, David Horvath, Doktor A, Ekundayo, Eric Fortune, Eric Joyner, Eric White, Jeff […]
