Held in conjunction with The New Vanguard at MOAH was the latest iteration of the POW! WOW! series of street art festivals. POW! WOW! Antelope Valley featured murals from Amandalynn, Andrew Schoultz, David Flores, Bumblebeelovesyou, Yoskay Yamamoto (seen above), Julius Eastman, Kris Holladay, Lady Echo, Mark Dean Veca, MEGGS, MOUF and Michael Jones. Constantly expanding their brand of street art inspired fun based in Hawaii, POW! WOW!’s latest adventure takes them to a satellite event at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. Local artists like Mouf, Truth, Ana Maria and Lucas Aoki alongside international talents like Rone, Yoskay Yamamoto, Meggs, Ron English, Kamea Hadar, Jasper Wong, Jeffrey Gess, Tatiana Saurez and Risk transformed the walls on Red River Street, Barton Springs Road, Ceasar Chavez Street and Fruth Street during a six day painting process (with help from SprATX, Flexfit, Knockaround, […]
