On January 10th, Gallery 1988 (East) will be opening a solo show from Nicole Gustafsson featuring over 25 original paintings (and a few prints) illustrating some of her favorite video games, tv shows, and films of mostly the 80s and 90s. Entitled Pop Terrariums, the new body of work from the Pacific Northwest based artist will combine her love for those little enclosed worlds in a glass containers with her love for pop culture. Openings: “Summer Group Show” @ Spoke Art

Last Thursday, Spoke Art opened its first annual Summer Group Show featuring a selection of up & coming local and international talent. For many of the artists, this show marks one of their first group shows with some looking forward to their debut solo shows in the near future.
