Recap: WALL\THERAPY 2015

After sharing with you a look at Andreas Englund’s amazing new mural for this year’s WALL\THERAPY festival in Rochester, New York, we now have a summary of the event for you. Seen above is a wall painted by NEVERCREW at 14 Capron Street (photo by Jason Wilder). You can see some more selected pieces below, but head over here for the full recap if you are interested.

Streets: Wes21 x ONUR – “Big Catch” (Denmark)

Invited in by Galleri KIRK for their Out in the Open project, Wes21 x ONUR painted a massive mural in Aalborg, Denmark entitled Big Catch. The two Swiss artists have been collaborating on murals for a while now and this surreal piece that turns the prey and predator narrative around certainly shows how well their skills mesh together. Look for artists Conor Harrington, Faith47, Robert Proch & Sepe, Guido van Helten, Aryz, and the Etam Crew to make their mark before the event is over…

Project M/6 (Berlin) – Part II

Last week, we brought you a look at some artists prepping for their window installations for the M/6 phase (curated by Jonathan LeVine) of the ongoing art program for Urban Nation. We now have some in situ pics of the pieces for you to enjoy. Along with the windows from Dan Witz, Jeff Soto, Nychos, Olek and Saner, artists Alo, ONUR & WES21 and CANVAZ were seen putting up their work in Berlin. Also, check out some shots of Olek acting as a lookout for Witz as he glued up his optical illusion street interventions. Photo credit: Henrik Haven.

The spiral-like piece which plays with perspective was painted on the roofs and facades of 99 buildings and can only be properly seen from one vantage point. Take a look at more here. Other murals that drew our attention in recent weeks includes work from Shok-1 x Remi Rough – UK, Strøk – Italy, […]
