Last night, POW! WOW! Hawaii kicked things off with a group show curated by Thinkspace at the Honolulu Museum Of Art School (111 Victoria Street). Entitled Exploring The New Contemporary Movement, the exhibition featured an impressive and diverse roster or artists, each contributing a 12 x 12″ piece. We’re big fans of the folk-art inspired work of Timothy Karpinski here at AM, and the mixed media artist and paper-cut technician will be showing off his skills with some new wares at a new solo show opening this evening in Seattle at Flatcolor Gallery. “This Feels Right” seems an apt title for the exhibition as Karpinski is one of the free-thinking co-owners of the Together Gallery in Portland, one of the great creative led community-vibe driven galleries out in that region.
