Openings: Insa – “More” @ Fifty24SF

Fifty24SF opened its doors to London-based artist Insa’s exhibition last Thursday night in San Francisco. During the week leading up to this event, Insa was busy painting up the town as well as filling up the gallery with paint fumes during the creation of his amazing stop motion video installation. Better known for his photo realistic outdoor murals, El Mac brought his artwork indoors with the opening of his gallery show “Faces of Life” at Fifty24SF last Thursday. Featured in the show were a series large-scale pieces done with spray paint on burlap, with a majority consisting of portraits of ethereal women. Japanese artist Usugrow, best known for his collaborative projects with Upper Playground and Vans, debuted his latest project “Shinganist” at FIFTY24SF last night.
