For those who enjoyed the mural James Bullough painted at the Long Beach Museum of Art (covered), take a look at what he followed it up with. Going big in Virginia for the Richmond Mural Project last month, the Berlin-based artist got up on the side of building situated on Lombardy & Broad streets. His portraiture oftentimes features the image broken up sporadically like it was transmitted with glitches, resulting in a signature fractured look. Photo credit: Benjah Photography. Last week, Jeff Soto (interviewed) sent over some in-progress photos from the RVA Street Art Festival in Richmond, Virginia where artists like Dalek, Mark Jenkins, Pose, Richard Colman, and others were painting murals along the James River Power Plant Building and Floodwall. Jeff has now followed up those pics with some of of the completed walls including areas where artist’s work leaked into each other’s field leading to some sweet collaborative work. It looks like the G40 Art Summit in Richmond, Virginia that we mentioned earlier has kicked off with murals going up at multiple locations around town. Starting things off were Aryz with a massive still-life, ROA with a bird and arrow, Jaz with six lions, Pixel Pancho with two walls in his signature robotic style, and Gaia with his hands and dove.
