One of the best privately-owned collections in Miami is the de la Cruz Collection, which exhibits pieces from the collection of Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz. Showing: “Extraction” @ The Hole

The Hole gallery in New York continues it’s run of great shows. This one is a group exhibition titled Extraction and it’s focus on new approaches in abstract painting. This showcase features an expansive list of artists such as Ara Peterson, Chris Johanson, Cory Arcangel, Gerhard Richter, Kadar Brock, Mark Flood, Peter Sutherland, Sam Moyer, Wade Guyton, Xylor Jane to name a few and aims to show how this current generation of artists’ take on conveying the non-figurative. Openings: Black Swan @ Regen Projects

Oscar Weekend, AM attended the Black Swan inspired group show at Regen Projects, which featured an A-list lineup with names like Matthew Barney, Richard Prince, Dan Graham, Glenn Ligon, and Anish Kapoor. The exhibion explores the illusion of dualities described in Darren Aronofsky’s chilling psycho-drama: black vs. white, purity vs. sexuality, and apparition vs. reality.
