Ryan McGinness is an artist with a seemingly limitless passion and a work ethic to match as evidenced by his back to back exhibition in New York City during Frieze week. First was his very technical Sketches & Solutions at  Gering Lopez (covered). Then the following night, Ryan took across town to Charles Banks Gallery for the next installment of his eye catching UV reactive painting series entitled Women: Blacklight Paintings & Sculptures (See previous stops in LA, NYC,  Miami PdP).

Utilizing his nude figurative studies and taking them to another level, Ryan not only created unique silkscreen compositions on canvas, but we saw the return of his sculptures. Previously seen at his Deitch exhibition, Mr. McGinness evolved his multifaceted metal sculptures with the layering of the intense UV reactive paint coupled with strategic placement of his womanly silhouettes. Every angle reveals a different composition as viewers made continuous laps around the showroom to take in these unique sculptural gems.
