Tonight (7pm) at the Howard Griffin Gallery (189-190 Shoreditch High Street) in London, a special show from John Dolan will be opening featuring his drawings and collaborations with many street and graffiti artists. Dolan has been a fixture in Shoreditch, sitting in the same spot for the last three years with his faithful canine companion drawing the changing urban landscape of the area while interacting with many of the artists that create public art in the area. With a 20 year history of homelessness himself, a common problem in this section of the city before the gentrification started, his story of coming from the bottom to now having a solo show is certainly poignant.

As a respected artist that is well known to the area, many artists who know him have agreed to collaborate with him on some works that see them tagging, painting, and drawing over one of his cityscapes. This list includes ROA (BE), Steve ESPO Powers (US), Sever (US), Gaia (US), David Walker (UK), Stik (UK), Nomers (RU), Maser (IE), Thierry Noir (FR), RUN (IT), Zomby (UK), Christiaan Nagel (ZA), Ian Stevenson (UK), Martin Ron (AR), Liqen (ES), Ben Wilson (UK), Dscreet (AU), Pablo Delgado (MX), MadC (DE), CEPT (UK), C215 (FR), BRK (ES), Michael De Feo (US), Ronzo (DE), Malarky (UK), 2Kold (UK), DALeast (CN), SNOE (UK), Faith47 (ZA), Agostino Iacurci (IT), Broken Fingaz Crew (IL), Hitnes (IT), Cityzen Kane (UK), Flying Fortress (DE), INTI (CL), Pelucas (ES), Rowdy (UK), SWET (SW) and others. These joint efforts will be put on display along with his own original pieces.
