On February 19th, Chandran Gallery in San Francisco will be presenting Witch-Wife, a two person show from Swoon (interviewed)  and long time collaborator Monica Canilao. The title of the show refers to a woman who practices witchcraft as well as is a nod to the longstanding artistic relationship between the duo. The two-level space will be transformed into an immersive installation featuring the assemblages of found objects from the Oakland-based Canilao and the wheat paste portraits from the Brooklyn-based Swoon with inspiration for the new work taken from dreams that were anonymously collected from Swoon’s Dream Reliquary.
