Teaser: KAWS @ Honor Fraser

It looks like KAWS will be making a trip to the west coast in February for his show at LA gallery Honor Fraser. Entitled “The Long Way Home,” this exhibit (opening Feb. 21st) will feature new paintings, sculptural works, and an installation.   Apparently, there will also a specially curated show at Royal/T by KAWS, selecting from the vast collection of owner and collector Susan Hancock.

KAWS is curating a show of works from Susan’s collection – of all sorts of artists that catch his eye, that was the vibe I got, not simply all works of his… should be very cool.

In Royal/T’s window right now there are two 4′ black KAWS vinyl toys with the word bubble coming out of one of them that says “Guess who’s coming to dinner?” – I asked Honor Fraser’s folks about this and they were surprised I put it together… they’ll be releasing more details on that soon. He’ll be in town a good week prior to opening to work on a huge install of sorts they said… nice!
