Baltimore street artist Chris Stain makes his West coast solo exhibition debut with, “Up On The Roof Countin’ Pigeons,” opening this Thursday, February 5th @ 7pm at the Carmichael Gallery.

His work focuses on scenes taken from the life of everyday inner-city Americans, capturing the people, the neighborhoods they live in, and their day-to-day struggles. Stain explains that he sets out to explore, “the emotional and physical struggle of growing up in an urban environment… I hope to inspire compassion for the often overlooked individuals of society.”

Stain will take full advantage of the large gallery space by transforming it into a New York City rooftop scene, complete with pigeon coop and live jazz music on the night of the opening.

Opening Reception: Thursday, February 5th, 7pm – 10pm
