Mark Ryden’s First Toy - YHWH
Here is the first photo we have seen of Mark Ryden’s first ever toy - YHWH. The figure is titled after one of his paintings (seen after the jump) and also cleverly posed with a little girl as in the painting. Not sure what it is meant to be but one definition of YHWH is the God of the Old Testament as transliterated from Hebrew consonants. Perhaps it’s Ryden’s vision of the Almighty, at least in the world of his paintings.
The figure will come in a special box and will be released by famed collector Long Gone John’s Necessaries Toy Foundation. There will also be two other colorways - black and white - more rare no doubt. Look for this to drop mid-summer 09.

OH NICE! Was hoping one day something would see the light from him… thing is, in his old house Long Gone had sculpted mock ups of the three characters from his Blood, Sweat and Tears on view in a lil’ glass case… just wanted to grab ‘em and run to the hills when i saw ‘em hahahaha… sadly, we were told Mark didn’t give them the go ahead… they were amazing though. Can’t wait for this!
