Whilst AM was in London last week, we bumped into Spanish artist and London resident Loreta Sáez Franco at the Frieze Art Fair. She told us of her solo exhibition opening in London this Thursday, October 21st and showed us some images of the work. “The Highlights” are bold colour compositions steeped in the traditions of abstraction and expressionism, and the exhibition also features a series of works the Central St Martins graduate calls her “wallpapers”. These pieces take the form of “The Highlights” artworks and frame them inside the outline of negative boundaries, such as guns, bombs and grenades.
