Last week in Berlin, Gestalten hosted installation artist Mark Jenkins’ (interviewed) first solo show in Germany, Glazed Paradise. The American artist staged his startlingly lifelike sculptural works throughout the space to the delight of showgoers as they bravely roamed the gallery area. Also rounding out the night were limited edition offerings of his famous tape sculptures, photographs of his street work, as well as a lecture presentation from Jenkins. To coincide with the show, Gestalten released the artist’s first monograph The Urban Theater: Mark Jenkins which the artist readily signed for his fans.
