One theme show that seems to keep on going and going – Crazy 4 Cult – is a testament to its popularity with artgoers. This year’s rendition, the sixth show for those counting, will make the move from Los Angeles to New York City. Hosted by Gallery 1988 as an ode to cult films out there, the group show features a mix of established and emerging artists who base the works submitted on some of the cult classics out there. For example, look at the piece above by Jason Edmiston full of references as well a couple other pieces below. The show opens August 9th (6-9 pm) at 64 Gansevoort St.
