Curated by Tilt, the second edition of the Rose Beton Festival in Toulouse (FR) paid tribute to the graffiti scene. The festival kicked off with an exhibition at Chateau d’Eau featuring the iconic photographs by Martha Cooper  & Henry Chalfont (interviewed) as well as emerging photographer Sylvain Fargot.

The Musee des Abattoirs is then taken over with installations by Boris Tellegen (covered), Mist, and Craig Costello while Tilt brought back his Voyage Retour car installation that he created during his recent residency at Jardin Rouge in Marrakech. Legendary  Futura painted over a French train with cotton candy colours and atoms,  a tribute to Toulouse being nicknamed “Pink City” for its pink bricks as well as the “Space City,” hosting the headquarters of the French space industry.

In parallel, international artists like Aryz, Ben Eine, Hendrik Beikrich, Miss Van, POES and JO BER, Reso, Monde and Maye painted new murals in the city. Remio showed his presence with stickers and illegal tags across town.

Rose Beton runs until the end of August 2016. Check the programme here.
