On November 5th, Natalia Fabia (interviewed) will be opening a new show at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, her first solo in four years. Entitled Rainbeau Samsara, the spelling seemingly a reference partially to her daughter, much of the new work we have seen brings her fashionable subjects into the natural world and “explores sequential cycles of life, known in Sanskrit as Samsara.” The locally-based painter often stages photoshoots of her friends which she uses for reference, sprinkling in some sparkles, shiny things, candy colored landscapes, unicorns, a burlesque style and other favorite things.
