After hosting the first part of their 25th anniversary group show last month, La Luz De Jesus makes room for the opening of round two of the festivities on November 4th. One of the biggest benefits for artists participating in the annual Baby Tattooville celebration is having their work exhibited in the Riverside Art Museum for all to see even after the exclusive weekend festivities end (you have about five weeks – until Nov. 8 – to catch show). This Friday, November 12th, London will get another taste of the New Contemporary art movement as London Miles will be hosting “The Idol Hours” group show. AM had the pleasure of attending the opening of Crazy 4 Cult 3D show at Gallery 1988 (LA) a couple weeks ago. The 3rd installment of the wildly popular group show again brought together some of our favorite artists to reinterpret some of the most addictive cult films of all time. Again, we saw the perennial favorites such as The Professional, Edward Scissorhands, Office Space and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. “Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. The majority of the exhibition’s body of work is displayed in the gallery’s main room. A table was set up over in the smaller wing of the gallery for the Hi-Fructose Collected Edition 1 book signing. After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.Â With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.Â Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.Â See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.

Baby Tattooville alumni Bob Dob is opening what looks to be a surf culture themed show, not surpising as he grew up in Hermosa Beach.Â The show opens Valentine’s Day at Billy Shire Fine Arts with a body of work featuring his familiar characters, birds, waves and of course, the ubiquitous and mischevious little devil – Luey.Â Take a look at some paintings from the show after the jump.

Day 2 of Baby Tattooville kicked off with a presentation by Murphy Design and then moved on to a talk with Bob Dob and Joe Ledbetter about the process of art toy making.
