Next Thursday, March 11th, the highly anticipated INLE group show will open at Gallery 1988′s Melrose location. This year’s Comic-Con saw no shortage of art-related events and after hitting up the screening of Scribble.08, AM made its way over to “Munky Bidness” put on by Munky King and Hi-Fructose. The focus of the party was a live-painting exhibition byÂ Buff Monster and Food One, who utilized the supple bodies of some female participants as their canvases, while Attaboy, Carlos Ramos and Chris Ryniak opted for the more traditional wood surface. “Natural Beauties” and “Superschool” (previewed) opened at Copro Gallery this past Saturday, March 7th. Upon entering Copro Gallery, you will see Lola’s solo show “Natural Beauties” on display in the room directly ahead. At the other wing of the gallery you will find “Superschool”, a group exhibition curated by Lola.Â The two shows are on display until March 28th. A couple interesting shows are opening this weekend at Copro Gallery (formerly Copro Nason Gallery) at the Bergamot Station complex in Santa Monica. The first is “Natural Beauties,” a solo show from Lola after her recent successful showing at Corey Helford Gallery. “Movers and Shakers” (previewed) opened on Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles’ Chinatown at POV Evolving Gallery and AM dropped by to check it out. Some of the participating artists who also dropped by included Buff Monster, Johnny “KMNDZ” Rodriguez, Mia, and Tessar Lo, among others. Check out photos of the opening after the jump!
