Openings: Daniel Danger – “There is a Wanderlust Growing in Your Bones” @ Rotofugi

Last Friday at Rotofugi, Daniel Danger (interviewed) opened his latest solo show, There is a Wanderlust Growing in Your Bones, which put on display a selection of prints and originals. With custom paper lanterns infused with the New England artist’s imagery, the mood was certainly set in real life for a collection of works that features his signature explorations of mood and lighting. Releases: Daniel Danger – “Cowboys & Aliens” Poster

For the film poster collectors out there, Mondo will be releasing their Cowboys & Aliens series today at a random time. One of the artists tapped to design one of them for the possibly soon to be cult classic is none other than Daniel Danger (interviewed) who is currently showing in NY (covered). Openings: Daniel Danger @ Cotton Candy Machine

AM caught the opening recently of New England artist Daniel Danger (interviewed) at the Cotton Candy Machine in NY. The show featured works which nostalgically brought back memories of  great movie scenes. His signature solitary structures and characters were centerpieces in a series of twilight-based compositions. As mentioned in our teaser, Daniel also brought out some print gems both old and new for some lucky attendees. Check it all out after the jump.

Preview: Daniel Danger – “they will take it back” @ Gallery 1988 (LA)

Daniel Danger (interviewed), who we saw last show at the SF location of Gallery 1988 in April of last year, returns this week to the original Los Angeles location for his new exhibition – “they will take it back”. The New England artist best known for his prints, which sell out almost instantaneously on release, will be putting together a body of work including originals, limited editions, and his first full-scale art toy. Releases: Daniel Danger – “Where Ashes Take the Form of Houses” Print

It’s taken six months, but Daniel Danger’s (interviewed) new two color intaglio print is ready from Harbor Coat Press. The beautiful image, entitled “Where Ashes Take the Form of Houses”, is an edition of 50 and generously sized at 28″ x 48″. It’s available now at their shop for $300. Hopefully this will keep Daniel’s fans happy until his show next month at Gallery 1988 LA. More detailed pics after the jump…

Openings: Daniel Danger & Dan McCarthy @ Gallery 1988 SF

Daniel Danger and Dan McCarthy (interviewed) had a successful opening this past weekend at Gallery 1988′s San Francisco location. With many of the originals and prints long sold out before the opening, “The Watcher in the Woods” has proven to be quite an accomplishment for these two artists in their West Coast debut.
