At the Galleri Profilen in Denmark, Armsrock (interviewed) currently has a new body of work on display entitled Should The Light Not Take Us. Continuing to develop his gallery repertoire, the thoughtful street artist is working again in the same large-scale that impressed us during his showing at the Vejle Museum of Art back in November. The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, which despite its name is located in Denmark, is currently hosting 40 giant photographs and a number of smaller works created by the world-famous photographer Andreas Gursky. We last saw a large collection of his works back in 2010 in Los Angeles, and certainly recommend seeing in person this retrospective from the genius of large-format photography if you happen to be in the area. Back in August, we brought you some photos of the work that Armsrock (interviewed) was preparing for Impossible Society, his exhibition at the Vejle Museum of Art in Denmark. The show is now on view through December 4th and really shows a maturity in the Danish artist’s work as well the type of scale that he is painting in now. More photos after the jump…

We haven’t heard much from Armsrock (interviewed) since his light-infused showing in Vienna earlier this year. There’s a good reason for that as the Danish street artist has been focused on building an important new body of work for his show at the Vejle Museum of Art in his native country. The large soulful paintings appear to be some of his best to date and we look forward to seeing the full results of his hard work come the September 3rd opening of The Impossible Society. [...]

Berlin-based American artist, Brad Downey, has been keeping himself rather busy lately. His first show in the Middle East, We Are Beginning: Personal Projects in Public Spaces, opened this week at Cuadro Fine Art Gallery in Dubai. In addition, Downey’s work features in the group show What Is Contemporary Art? which opened Friday at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Denmark. Later in March, he’s taking part in the group exhibition Wilde Zeichen at the Kunsthalle Krems museum in Krems, Austria. In a post [...]
