Last weekend, Scott G. Brooks and Fred Harper opened up a joint show at the Last Rites Gallery in New York. Brooks let his imagination run wild with a series of dark and inventive works entitled collectively The Luckiest Widow In The World & Other Tales Of Misfortune. For his part, Harper brought a some above shoulder portraits that he entitled Head Spin. More photos after the jump…

Proof that the art world doesn’t completely stand still during Art Basel week, Travis Louie (featured) bravely opened his The Ghost of Delilah and Other Stories last week in Los Angeles at Gallery 1988 (Melrose).
