André & Futura have joined forces for a unique collaborative show at Danysz Gallery in Paris with their signature pictorial characters. On January 11th, Urban Spree Galerie in Berlin will be hosting the opening of Futura: The 5 Elements. Releases: Futura x Uniqlo Collection

After a recent successful collaboration with KAWS, Uniqlo has teamed up with another artist and his iconic imagery for their UT line – Futura. The released images feature many of the renowned graffiti artist’s signature touches emblazoned on t-shirts like his atoms, pointmen, textured background, script. On January 20th, James Lavelle will take over Lazarides Rathbone with Daydreaming with UNKLE Presents… THE ROAD: SOHO, a unique exhibition centered on his British music collective UNKLE in anticipation of the forthcoming album THE ROAD. Recap: Rose Beton Festival (Toulouse)

Curated by Tilt, the second edition of the Rose Beton Festival in Toulouse (FR) paid tribute to the graffiti scene. The festival kicked off with an exhibition at Chateau d’Eau featuring the iconic photographs by Martha Cooper  & Henry Chalfont (interviewed) as well as emerging photographer Sylvain Fargot. The Musee des Abattoirs is then taken over with installations by Boris Tellegen (covered), Mist, and Craig Costello while Tilt brought back his Voyage Retour car installation that he created during his recent residency at Jardin Rouge in Marrakech. Openings: Futura – “NEW HORIZONS” @ Library Street Collective

Last weekend, Library Street Collective in Detroit hosting the opening for Futura latest solo show entitled NEW HORIZONS. Along with all new paintings that features some of the graffiti legend’s signature abstract color studies with gyroscopic structures as well as his old school pointman characters, new large-scale pieces were prepared for the outdoor space in BELT Alley for the PUBLIC MATTER series of works.
