Futura x Hennessy Launch Party (Paris)

Like his the release parties on Melrose, in Los Angeles, and in New York, graffiti legend Futura’s fans in Paris came out in droves to get a glimpse of the man of the hour as well as their hands on his limited edition collaboration with Hennessy. Featuring a special exclusive design for colette (site of the event), the launch saw Lenny sketch, sign, and take photos with his admirers. Check the photo set below… Photos via colette. Last week, AM attended the much anticipated opening of Futura’s show presented in conjunction with Valmorbida. Held at a sizable Meat Packing district cargo hold, the pop-up exhibition was the perfect location for one of the kings of the street to make a triumphant return to New York City. As promised, AM visited Futura for a behind the scene’s look at upcoming his monster show in New York City. Presented in the same pop-up location in the meat-packing district at which Andy Valmorbida previously exhibited Retna, this massive body of work entitled Future-Shock is a proper homecoming for the New York graffiti legend. Futura may live and work in New York City, but the graffiti legend hasn’t had a solo exhibition in his hometown for over 12 years. Last night, Hennessy held the Los Angeles premiere (see NY launch here) of the VS cognac bottle designed by Futura at an exclusive launch party held at the Milk Studios in Hollywood. The special bottle is a continuation of the brand’s collaboration with high profile artists (see KAWS) and it seemed that no expense was spared with Diplo and Santigold on hand to entertain the crowd. Last night, Hennessy held a preview launch at New York’s Reed Space for their latest VS cognac bottle designed by Futura (seen here). This pop up event was announced via Hennessy’s twitter and exclusive to only the first 50 fans arriving at the location. The line was long, but worth the wait as each fan (over 21) was given a special Hennessy gift pack containing a signed bottle by the graffiti legend himself.
