Openings: Kai & Sunny – “Whirlwind Of Time” @ StolenSpace

Last weekend, StolenSpace hosted the opening of Kai & Sunny’s (interviewed) latest solo show – Whirlwind Of Time. Their fourth showing with the gallery in London featured a series of vibrant and complex drawings of nature using their signature ballpoint pens and linear patterns. Releases: Kai & Sunny – ‘Leaves of Light’ Screenprint

Kai and Sunny’s latest screenprint edition Leaves Of Light will be available tomorrow, Tuesday March 17th at 2pm GMT. The hand pulled 2 colour screen print on 100% cotton somerset satin 300gsm is 57 x 76 cm (22.4 x 29.9 inches) is released in an edition of 100 signed and stamped by the duo, and is based on a larger scale work from their recent New York exhibition at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. British artistic duo Kai and Sunny, who we have been long time followers, recently opened a new solo exhibition in New York at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Lots of Bits of Stars includes carvings, letterpress prints and ink works on paper. The duo also created an original collaboration with Shepard Fairey. Openings: “Space//Squared” @ White Walls Gallery

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered). Earlier this month, the Buddy System Invitational (curated by Sven Davis) opened at the Breeze Block Gallery in Portland. Openings: Kai & Sunny – “Caught by the Nest” @ Subliminal Projects

Over the weekend, artistic duo Kai & Sunny opened up a new exhibition in Los Angeles at Subliminal Projects. Entitled Caught By The Nest, the new body of work from the British artists featured monochromatic pieces inspired by the book The Reason I Jump, written by Naoki Higashida and translated by David Mitchell, a long time collaborator with Kai & Sunny and author of Cloud Atlas.
