Showing: Vhils – “Vestiges” @ Magda Danysz (Paris)

Portugese artist Vhils recently opened a new solo show at Galerie Magda Danysz in Paris. Entitled Vestiges, the exhibition showcases his various unique techniques in which he engraves portraits and abstract patterns onto cork, metal, wood and paper. Using these techniques, Vhils continues to explore the ideas of destruction and creation within urban environments and the collective memory of city inhabitants. Check out images from the show below. Openings: JR – “The Close Up” @ Magda Danysz (Shanghai)

During AM‘s recent trip we stopped by the streets of Shanghai to participate in the phenomenon that is the Inside / Out photobooth truck. Next to follow that up, we stopped by Magda Danysz to catch JR’s (interviewed) latest show. Preview: D*Face + Obey @ Magda Danysz

This weekend, two of street art’s best, Shepard Fairey and D*Face, invade La Ville-Lumiere (that’s Paris) for a show at the lovely Galerie Magda Danysz. Looks like Mr. Obey will be showing mostly larger HPMs and album covers, giving European collectors a crack at some images from his recent, instantly sold-out San Fran show; D*Face will show some mixed media works and prints.
