Showing: Marcel Dzama & Raymond Pettibon – “Forgetting the Hand” @ David Zwirner Gallery

Currently at the 533 West 19th Street location of David Zwirner in New York, collaborative works collectively entitled Forgetting the Hand by Marcel Dzama and Raymond Pettibon are on display. This is the first time the two locally-based artists have worked together and their modified exquisite corpse technique of swapping a series of drawings to work on where part of what the other person did is concealed leads to some interesting results. Discuss Marcel Dzama here. Discuss Raymond Pettibon here.

Other notable videos include: Jeff Gillette working in the desert. Timelapse of Odeith at work. Daniel Arsham’s Future Relic 04. An online video installation […]

Basel Week Switzerland ’13: SCOPE

One of the satellite fairs during Basel Week Switzerland is the always quality SCOPE Art Fair. Although, this venue lacks the blue-chip luster of the main event (covered), we always find many familiar faces and intriguing works at this fair. Take a look at an overview of what was offered in the photos below… Photo credit: Andrew Hosner for Arrested Motion.

Basel Week Miami ’11: Marcel Dzama @ David Zwirner

We still have more to share with you though like Marcel Dzama’s work at the David Zwirner booth at the main fair. Taking center stage was this inset intricately conceived diorama featuring the NY-based artist’s sculptural skills and sense of theater. More photos of his other work for the booth after the jump…

Signings: Marcel Dzama @ David Zwirner

AM recently got to attend a book signing at the David Zwirner gallery and catch Marcel Dzama’s book signing session. Marcel also took some time to draw a beautiful little sketch for fans who patiently waited in a two hour queue. For those who haven’t seen pics from his current show at the New York gallery, take a look here. More photos from the […]
