Openings: Tomokazu Matsuyama – Glancing at Twin Peaks @ Joshua Liner Gallery

Last night AM attended the opening for Tomokazu Matsuyama’s (interviewed) “Glancing at Twin Peaks” (previewed) opening at Joshua Liner Gallery. The highly anticipated opening for Matzu’s NYC solo drew a packed house. Matzu’s distinctly unique pieces exhibited his signature contemporary flair on traditional subjects. This show continued his use of bold color palettes and contrasting “splashes” that make the pieces leap out at the audience. Matzu and Joshua Liner Gallery were nice enough to invite AM for a sneak “peak” at Matzu’s full-gallery solo show, Glancing at the Twin Peaks, opening in NYC this Friday. Matzu and his helpers have been working around the clock to transform the space with paintings, murals and sculptures into one cohesive installation. Releases: Matzu Kirin print @ Joshua Liner Gallery

In conjunction with Tomokazu “Matzu” Matsuyama’s upcoming full-gallery solo exhibition Glancing at the Twin Peak opening in NYC on Friday March 6th, Joshua Liner Gallery has just released a stunning 30-color silkscreen print of one of Matzu’s emblamatic Kirins. Preview: Joshua Liner Gallery @ Scope Miami
