Showing: Michael Lau – “COLLECT THEM ALL!” @ Christie’s (Hong Kong)

Earlier this week, Christie’s in Hong Kong put on display a selling exhibition from Michael Lau entitled COLLECT THEM ALL! Featuring the Chinese artist’s figurative work, whether that be in a painting or whether that be in sculptural form, they all feature the signature aesthetic that has come to be associated with what many consider to be the pioneer in popularizing the art toy or vinyl figure. Starting on April 11th, Christie’s in Hong Kong will be showing a series of new works from Michael Lau entitled COLLECT THEM ALL! The selling exhibition from what many consider to be the godfather of the art toy figures will features paintings as well as sculptures, most of them with his familiar characters as the central focus.
