Upcoming: Stella Im Hultberg – “Stranger” @ Spoke Art

On October 1st, Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be opening her first solo show in four years at Spoke Art in San Francisco. Entitled Stranger, the new selection of paintings continues the current uplifting direction of her work and promises to feature her female subjects surrounding by a lot of flowers. This Saturday night (April 4th), Hashimoto Contemporary will be opening the fourth edition of their Moleskin Project group show. On March 5th, Hellion Gallery’s Portland location will be opening a group exhibition featuring works created on small wooden plaques called “Ema” on which Shinto worshipers write their prayers or wishes. A while back, before the current Post It 8 show (covered) that has taken over the walls of Giant Robot 2, a special show was put on at the gallery entitled 20 Pieces of Dreams. Later today, Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be holding her annual studio sale (see 2010 & 2011) where small originals can be had for very reasonable prices.
