Coming up next month at Thinkspace will be a reunion group show entitled In the Wake of Dreams featuring the work of Stella Im Hultberg, Mari Inukai, Audrey Kawasaki, and Amy Sol. This Friday night, July 8th, in Seaside near Monterey Bay, California, The Alternative Cafe Gallery will be hosting Bad Luck Club, a group show put together by Aya Kakeda featuring 13 female artists from Brooklyn. One of the painters chosen was none other than Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed), who continues her re-exploration of her paper pieces. Next Friday night, March 11th, Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be showing alongside Scott Belacastro at the London Miles Gallery. For her first UK show, she’ll be bringing a collection of paintings entitled “Fragmented”, which looks to feature a return in a way to some of the floating heads she has painted in the past as well as an obsession with hair. Opening tonight at Clifton’s Brookdale in LA will be a tribute show for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. The curation for this celebration of the early 90′s cult show is top notch as it includes many artists that we follow here on AM like Eric White, Stella Im Hultberg, Glenn Barr, and Tim Biskup, just to name a few. This Friday, November 12th, London will get another taste of the New Contemporary art movement as London Miles will be hosting “The Idol Hours” group show. This Saturday, Sept 11th, “Sweet Streets II” is set to open at the Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra.
