With a show filled with such plethora of strong and iconic works from an A-list of artists, Suggestivism definitely deserves a second look. If our coverage of the opening didn’t encourage you to see the exhibition in person, perhaps this video from Hurley featuring some footage of the art as well as an interview with curator and artist Nathan Spoor will convince you to head over to the Grand Central Art Center before April 17th, the close date. Last night, we attended the opening for Suggestivism, curated by Nathan Spoor, at Grand Central Art Center. This ambitious group show of over 50 different works boasts an impressive lineup of artists including Ron English, Todd Schorr and Sandow Birk. The exhibition reads like a collection of loose narratives, and the experience of each piece is like walking into the middle of a story, allowing the imagination to dictate the beginning and end. Coming hot off the heels of Joe Sorren’s (featured) epic retrospective at the gallery, Suggestivism, a group exhibition curated by Nathan Spoor, opens this Saturday at CSUF Grand Central Art Center.
