If you are the birthplace of Vincent Van Gogh, you are allowed to commemorate the 125th anniversary of his death in style. Zundert, a small town in the Netherlands near the Belgian border dedicated their annual celebration, the world’s largest volunteer-run flower parade to the influential Dutch post-Impressionist painter. 3-Pejac _ Heavy Sea project
We’ve seen Pejac paint large indoor murals, small street pieces, window drawings, install sculptural works in public, create visual illusions on facades and walls, but we never seen him turn his paintings into reality. For the Autumn/Winter 2015 season, Max Mara has collaborated with artist Maya Hayuk on three different styles of sunglasses featuring a pattern she has dubbed Optiprism. The multicolored rainbow graphics utilized for this project mirror the works from the New York-based artist that fit well both in the gallery as well as on the streets. Gifted artist James Jean (interviewed) recently was recruited by Apple to promote their new Pencil stylus which pairs nicely with the newly released iPad Pro. Jean put the novel technology to good use by drawing his amazing imagery directly onto the tablet, which you can see in the images included here.
